On the CommUnity ConferAction Camp we want to prepare the theater festival FESTIWALLA "European Others?!" together over 5 days. As a community, we want to unite different communities by discovering, recognizing, developing, testing, rem!xing and reflecting on resistant traditions and cultural techniques. Our central approach here: CommUNITY culture.

The places for the camp are unfortunately limited. Registration deadline is 28th of April 2019. Please give us an impression of You/Your group and perspective, we will get back to you! We are also happy if you would like to prepare a session/workshop/input for the camp or would recommend us to referents/workshop leaders.
*Unfortunately, we have no funding for food or accommodation. We try our best to make the camp as accessible as possible for everyone. If you live in Berlin and can provide a place to sleep for other guests, we appreciate support in our sleeping place organization!
CommUNITY ConferAction Camp
in preparation for the FESTIWALLA 2020 "European Others?!"
Europe - family - home. This is the theme of the new right and means a clear commitment to the colonial continuities of Europe: isolation - patriarchy - racism. But not with us! We do it differently. With you and 150 young artists from Berlin, Germany, Europe and the world!
Are you part of a youth group? Are you active against exclusion and oppression? You play theater, sing, rap, dance, paint, spray, sticker, skate? You are simply interested and want to participate with your friends or alone?
Inspired by Fatima El Tayeb's perspective and book "Anders Europäisch: Rassismus, Identität und Widerstand im vereinten Europa" we want to connect to the resistance of young, queer Europeans of Color against their exclusion from the nation and Europe. We want to take Europe seriously as a venue for (anti-) colonial conflicts, as a place of colonizers and colonized, as a result of colonial and resistant traditions.
On the CommUnity ConferAction Camp we want to prepare the theater festival FESTIWALLA "Anders Europäisch?!" together over 5 days. As a community, we want to unite different communities by discovering, recognizing, developing, testing, rem!xing and reflecting on resistant traditions and cultural techniques. Our central approach here: CommUNITY culture. Which community do we want to be, and which form of expressions can we find for it? Which artistic means are appropriate, and which political perspectives point into the future? What does our understanding of community offer us?
